Building Equitable and Antiracist Workplaces
Does this sound familiar?
Your workplace made a big push for diversity, equity, and inclusion in 2020, but now any initiatives have stalled. Or maybe your office never invested in these efforts at all, and you feel like you are on your own demanding change without any institutional buy-in.
This is a common story—many organizations have scaled back their equity efforts while others never got beyond public statements or the occasional DEI committee meeting. What does lasting change look like and how do organizations make real progress toward racial equity?
Join us for this online workshop series to explore how to embed equity into your organization and commit to the hard work of antiracism. We’ll share how to have meaningful conversations about race and discuss concrete steps for taking action (even when you don’t have the support of everyone in your office).
This is a four-week online workshop series that includes:
Online lessons. Watch videos with course content whenever it fits into your schedule.
Coursework. Go deeper with resources, tools, and exercises to try on your own or with colleagues.
Dialogue. Connect with other participants, find support, ask questions, and reflect in this online discussion.
How It Works
Once registration closes, you’ll receive a password-protected link to access online lesson videos and download coursework materials. You’ll receive a Zoom link before the online discussion. The link is not public, shareable, or transferable, which ensures that only registered attendees can attend. We suggest participants set aside at least 4 - 6 hours over the duration of the workshop to complete the online videos, coursework, and Zoom.
What You’ll Learn
Shared language for examining race, racism, and equity.
Tools for fostering dialogue about racial equity at work.
Concrete recommendations and next steps for operationalizing equity.
Strategies for working in solidarity to uproot racism within organizations.
How to navigate barriers and pushback to equity and change efforts.
