Online Workshops

Our online workshops are designed to help people deepen their antiracism practice and build the dialogue, connection, and solidarity necessary to seed change. Rooted in participatory learning and popular education, we help people frame complex issues, think through real-life examples, and develop concrete solutions for advancing racial equity.

Workshops include online lesson videos to watch at your own pace. We also include coursework with resource guides, reflections, and exercises to try at home. Workshops culminate in an online discussion. Our workshops last 4 - 6 weeks and are offered on a rotating basis. We also occasionally offer one-time online discussions where we go deeper into some of our favorite topics.

How do we talk about race and equity with our kids? How do we teach kids to see color? And how do we do any of this as overwhelmed parents? Learn how to have meaningful conversations about race with kids and bring antiracism into your home in this workshop.

Building a Better White Ally: Cultivating Relationships and Racial Solidarity

How do we cultivate multiracial relationships rooted in trust, care, and mutuality? What does it take to build solidarity that leads to collective action? Explore how to go beyond allyship and deepen antiracism by deepening relationships in this workshop.

Building Equitable and Antiracist Workplaces

What does lasting change look like and how do organizations make real progress toward racial equity? This workshop looks at how to embed equity into your organization at every level—even when you don’t have the support of everyone in your office.

Our PTA worked with Elizabeth and Kristina to host a virtual racial equity workshop with our school community. They were able to present a framework that allowed the participants to understand the many historical moments and factors that led to the present times we are facing. They also shared tools on how to move forward at home and as a community.

I highly recommend Septima Project‘s workshop Building Equitable and Antiracist Organizations. Although the work of antiracism in our institutions is a long road that we must be equip ourselves for a long journey within—this workshop is giving me a compass.

  • What People Are Saying

I appreciated how relatable you both were, both in the videos and in person for the discussion. You helped to normalize uncomfortable feelings and create connection. I wasn't sure what to expect of the discussion and it far exceeded my hope or expectation.

I found this course very helpful. It helped me put in place concepts and ideas that were just boomeranging around in my head. Now, I feel more confident talking about race—not just with kids but with adults.

  • What People are Saying

I was thankful that I attended the event You Need More People: Building Relationships & Solidarity for Racial Equity. Drawing from personal experience, and modeling vulnerability, Kristina and Elizabeth did a great job of examining the importance of building multiracial relationships as an essential component in deepening antiracism work.
